Fakarava & Rurutu, French Polynesia
One of the most powerful animal encounters we have experienced is coming eye-to-eye with a humpback whale! This expedition is for intrepid travelers who want to experience a truely magical moment with a humpback whale. The very remote and small island of Rurutu, French Polynesia, is our location of choice for a snorkel-only trip. But, we are adding a live-aboard in Fakarava for some great shark diving to balance out the journey.
Due to the limited size of the live-aboard, a lucky few can choose to focus on the Rurutu snorkeling only. We can also add land-based diving in the archipelago to round out your trip.

Inclusions:
- 6 days/5 nights aboard Aqua Tiki III exploring Fakarava
- All meals, BCD and regulator use, 2 Nitrox dives daily
- Numerous water and land activities with Aqua Tiki III
- 5 nights in Rurutu, with 1/2 board and airport transfers
- 4 days snorkeling 3 hours each day (humpback encounters not guaranteed, but we are in the heart of whale season)
Snorkel only portion in Rurutu:
- 5 nights in Rurutu, with 1/2 board and airport transfers
- 4 days snorkeling 3 hours each day (humpback encounters not guaranteed)
Snorkel only dates are Septeber 11-16. Tour cost does not include meals other than mentioned, domestic or international flights, or gratuities.
